Much of allan industries’ early and continued growth has come from partnering and growing with these companies. allan industries owes much of its success to the property managers and organizations which have recommended us, and retained our Cleaning and restoration services, wherever they, and we, have gone. another signi�cant ingredient to allan industries’ success has been establishing and maintaining “service Partnerships” with Major Corporate Clients. these companies are organizations that we contract with directly, or indirectly, and perform for in high pro�le corporate facilities. assimilating into the unique corporate environment of a prominent company is a challenge we enjoy and take on with pride and enthusiasm. as a result, we continue to provide service to an ever growing list of corporate clients throughout the territories we support. one important way that allan industries shows support to these corporate clients, further extending our “service Partnership” , is by encouraging our employees and business associates to consider purchasing a company’s products and services. For example, when going to buy chocolate or candy, we look for products that Master Foods (M&M Mars) produces. Master Foods has been a long time customer of allan industries and we are pleased to support them. the same philosophy is true for one of our recent partnerships, vonage . we encourage our employees and business associates to consider vonage when shopping for an internet phone service provider. this simple concept makes sense and is clearly an integral part of being a true “service Partner” to our customers. ... Kindest regards, Paul allan as the year progresses, we look back on events that have left a lasting impression on the allan industries team. one of the more enjoyable events was our sales and Marketing group’s excursion to las vegas. after a successful year of growth and change, a training seminar to help hone our marketing efforts seemed to be in order. and, for a schedule of events that focused on the excitement of new strategies, fresh ideas, and for creative thinking about prospective business, las vegas was just the place to foster some innovative thinking. Conducted by Michael Carroll and Kevin ginsberg, the seminars focused on two themes: business Communication and service Marketing, and speci�cally on: “the introduc- tion to business Communication – group dynamics” and “the introduction to Marketing – strategies for service: Marketing the intangible”. learning about the challenges of group communication and coming to appreciate the unique hurdles of marketing a “service” (in contrast to a product) proved illuminating for all. the topics discussed really focused the group and related to our everyday efforts to effectively support our customers. as we were scheduled to work hard, we also planned to enjoy las vegas. the group dined at some special restaurants including: simon Kitchen at the hard rock hotel & Casino, aureole at Mandalay bay, and daniel boulud brasserie at the wynn hotel. between some great meals, the group also attended the blue Man group production at the venetian, enjoyed a sunrise trip to lake Mead and the hoover dam, and, for some, found a little time to gamble. the attendees for this event were: Paul allan, robin ansell, Michael Carroll, bob Currie, Kevin ginsberg, Carey halligan, Jan lee, david Mallar, tim o’riley, erin reilly, John rietzen, Matty scalera and Michael shine. as we continue to grow as an organization, we anticipate providing all senior members of the allan team with the opportunity to develop new skills in a relaxed environment with future trips to unique and exciting locations. Mold reproduces by means of tiny spores that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Mold is a natural part of the environment and there are al ways mold spores �oating through the air both outdoors and indoors. spores settle onto all surfaces including potential food sources such as wood and paper. indoors, mold can become a problem when the ever present spores on a wet surface begin to grow. there are tens of thousands of types of mold, but they all have one thing in common. without moisture, they cannot grow. Controlling moisture in the in door environment then becomes the best prevention. e following pictures depict a few examples of how mold can develop in an indoor environment where moisture is allowed to collect. Fix building leaks or leaky plumbing as soon as possible. don’t let building foundations stay wet. Make sure that ground water drains away from the foundation by keeping gutters clear and sloping the landscaping away from the building. vent moisture-generating appliances such as clothes driers to the outside. do not allow bathroom fans to vent into the attic. Keep indoor humidity levels between 30% and 50%. this is particularly important in areas of little air circulation such as basements. run a dehumidi�er if necessary. of course, clean and dry water damage within 48 hours.
